When I was first approached by Gill Vessey to undertake a few sessions
of life coaching I admit I was a little sceptical about whether it would
be of any use to me. I decided to accept – being at somewhat of
a crossroads in my life once again – and I am really glad I did.
At the first session Gill clearly
explained the processes we would go through, we did all the admin
– such as signing the agreements and made a start on identifying
what I would like to explore during the sessions. I was surprised
to be able to set my own agenda – and I was able to choose the
priorities.
I felt immediately at ease with Gill’s
affable, but professional style. She was open about what could be
achieved and I felt confident speaking to her candidly.
I feel that the life coaching I have
received has had a positive impact on me so far – and it is
so good to talk through issues and having an impartial coach to help
me find the solutions.
I would now recommend life coaching
to others, and I feel a new optimism and ability to challenge myself.

All the sessions I had with Gill were
conducted in a totally confidential and professional manner. At the
end of each session I was left with an action plan I had agreed with
Gill containing goals and realistic targets.
I found the entire process very helpful.
Gill did not provide answers but I feel skilfully led the process
focusing on challenge which enabled me to re-evaluate what was important
to me.

Life coaching has made me consider
the impact some very long-held beliefs have had on my life. I have
now been able to decide for myself which beliefs I still accept and
which I now reject. When setting goals, the word “want”
is now replacing the word “should”.
I have found the life coaching sessions
extremely useful and I hope to continue using the techniques and tools
that Gill has taught me.
